PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN
Classes Begin Every Monday
This program will be a combination of the Nurse Aide, Phlebotomy Technician, and EKG Technician Program.
The Patient Care Technician Program is designed to provide students with the necessary instruction and clinical experience to prepare them to pursue a career and employment in the field of Patient Care Technician after successful completion of the Nurse Aide Program, Phlebotomy Technician Program, and The EKG Program. The student will graduate as a Patient Care Technician in 16 weeks. Upon completion of the program, the student will have acquired the necessary skills required to perform competently in the field of Patient Care Technician. The program will provide the student with opportunities for individual growth and personal awareness, which will hopefully lead to an expansion in their interests, confidence, personal success, work ethics, and skills. Also if the students desire to do so he/she can go on to test with NHA to become Certified Patient Care Technicians.
This Program is a partial hybrid. All of the coursework for Phlebotomy and EKG will be online. The skills portion for Phlebotomy and EKG will be held at the school in the skills lab. The Nurse Aide portion of this will all be held at the school.
All work will be posted online at the beginning of each course. Once the work is posted the student can begin to do the assignment on their own. Students will not have to attend online at a certain time.
